2021 Annual Appeal
Dear Friends and Benefactors:
Over a year and a half ago, the COVID-19 pandemic altered our lives, presenting extraordinary challenges that were responded to with extraordinary effort and ingenuity by our donors, staff, and volunteers. The Arc Mid-Hudson is truly grateful for their compassion, dedication, and perseverance that guided us through a time of tremendous adversity.
As we look to the future, we rely on our communities continued kindness and generosity to expand our services. We are excited to introduce innovative and effective housing that is on the horizon for the people we serve, designed to foster independence and productivity in their daily lives. The new SMART Home planned at future sites for The Arc Mid-Hudson residents in Putnam, Ulster, and Greene counties will enhance independence for people with disabilities to achieve and experience the highest quality of life. SMART homes will allow residents to turn on lights without having to touch a switch, answer the front door from any room, and adjust the thermostat with a simple voice command.
For many people, the ability to perform these tasks is a matter of convenience. But for people who live with disabilities, SMART home technology is powerful and allows the people we support to live a more independent and empowered life.
Your support is critical to the success of this project. Please consider a year-end gift today, of any amount, to The Arc Mid-Hudson’s Annual Appeal. You may donate by clicking the link below.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to The Arc Mid-Hudson and the individuals that we serve.
John McHugh, Executive Director of The Arc Mid-Hudson
