Memorable Moments

Wine & Dine at Frank Guido’s Little Italy

June 1, 2021

The Arc Mid-Hudson 2020 Wine & Dine Event Raised over $47,000.

Kingston, NY.   The 7th Annual Wine & Dine was held at Frank Guido’s Little Italy in Kingston on May 22, 2021. The evening, which paired four delicious courses with fine wines, had 76 attendees and raised over $47,000.

“This year’s Wine & Dine once again had an amazing turnout. We are pleased that so many people joined us for this event,” said John McHugh, Executive Director of The Arc Mid-Hudson. “Fundraising events such as the Wine & Dine is a great way to get out and have some fun, while at the same time, supporting an organization such as ours and the Cornell Creative Arts Center.”

Following dinner was a spirited live auction that Bob Siracusano of Sawyer Motors in Saugerties, NY hosted. There were seven auction packages available for bidding. A case of ‘Wines from Around the World’, a case of ‘Locally Owned and Grown Spirits’, ‘Fairway to Heaven’ which included a Wiltwyck Golf experience, ‘Spa Day’ which included two day-passes for Spa21, ‘Date Night’ which included dinner at Ole Savannah and a night at Mohonk Mountain House, ‘Weekend Staycation’ which included dinner at Little Italy along with tickets to the Putnam County Wine & Food Festival, and a ‘Wine Not’ package containing 6 bottles of red and 6 bottles of white.

Bob also made a “Fund in Need” request to assist The Arc Mid-Hudson and Cornell Creative Arts Center who contracted with O+ Kingston to create and paint a mural on the exterior wall of the Pecora Center located on Ten Broeck Avenue. The mural will beautify the building, showcase The Arc Mid-Hudson’s mission and local artists, as well as brighten up that specific area of Kingston. The O+ program supports local artists and their mission is to empower communities to take control of their collective wellbeing through the exchange of art, music, and wellness throughout Ulster County. For more information on the O+ mural, please contact Cornell Creative Arts Center.

The Arc Mid-Hudson would like to thank Tim and Laurel Sweeney from Stone Ridge Wine & Spirits for donating the wine served and the wine and spirits auction items and Bob Siracusano, our Wine & Dine Chairman, and live auctioneer, for helping us reach our goal. A big thank you also to all of the attendees and sponsors for supporting The Arc Mid-Hudson and its mission “To empower people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to achieve and experience the highest quality of life.”
